Our customers love the concept of The Lollipop Book Club. They love the idea that we turn a gift of books into an "experience" for a child. The sweet lollipop, the special note, and the monthly package arriving on a child's doorstep all make this a gift never to be forgotten.
 
And sometimes, a customer wants to add their own special little tweak to the gift that is not exactly how things are typically handled.  If this is the case with you, we want you to ask!  We will always do our very best to accommodate your request.  So don't be shy about it. Just contact us through the website or send an email to karen@lollipopbookclub.com.  This is your gift to a child and we always welcome your input.

When are the books mailed to the child? TOP

The very first book will be mailed as soon as possible. Typically this is within 5-7 business days from the time the order is placed.  If you need a book to go out more quickly, please contact us with your request and we will do our best to accommodate you.
 

Can I substitute one book for another? TOP
Certainly.  We will be glad to make changes based on your request.  Just send us an email with the name of the title(s) you would like to replace.  You can pick your own substitutions or we can make some suggestions.  The pricing would not change provided that you substitute books in the same format (i.e. paperback for paperback).

Will The Lollipop Book Club ever substitute books in my package? TOP

Rarely.  The only time this could occur is if our book distributor is out of a particular title.  If this happens, we will contact you with some alternative selections so that you can choose the replacement that best suits your child.

Can I send one package to two or more children? TOP
Yes, you may certainly send one book package to multiple children living in the same home.  You may want to consider ordering Extra Lollipops since these are more difficult to share than the books!

Can I write different messages for each book? TOP
Yes, absolutely. You have the option of sending a single message for every book in the package, unique messages for each book, or some combination thereof.  Just enter as many messages as you would like during the check-out process.

Can you rush the first book? TOP
Yes, we will do our best to get the first book out right away if your child's special event is right around the corner.  Upon request, we can usually get the first book out within 5 days, or sooner, if necessary.  We keep a small inventory on hand just to accommodate these requests.  We may ask you to consider some alternative titles for the very first book, but we assure you that your child will be happy with our selections.

Can you delay sending the first book? TOP
Yes. Many of our customers like to plan ahead by ordering a gift from The Lollipop Book Club in advance of the birthday or holiday.  Yet they want the gift to arrive as close as possible to the actual date.  If you have such a request, simply place your order and then follow with an email detailing the specific date you are targeting.  We will do our best to mail the gift as close to that date as possible.

Does The Lollipop Book Club ship packages outside of the US? TOP

Yes, we do ship internationally, but additional shipping fees apply.  For packages shipped to Canada, additional shipping fees are automatically calculated upon checkout.  For other countries, please inquire about rates by sending an email to karen@lollipopbookclub.com.

Can The Lollipop Book Club create a customized package of books? TOP

Yes, this is exactly the kind of request that is right up our alley.  Let's say that your child is dealing with a bully at school, has a new baby sister at home, and just started playing soccer.  We will put together a package of books that addresses each one of these events.  We'll search around for the best books out there, on our site or otherwise in print, and send you a list of recommendations.  Once you give your approval, we'll send you a link to pay, and the monthly gift of books will begin!

Is there a contract or agreement that I need to fulfill if I place an order? TOP

Absolutely not!  The Lollipop Book Club is not your typical "book of the month club" that requires you to make a specified number of purchases to satisfy a contract.

Once your place your order, that's it. Of course, we'd love to hear from you again, but any future purchases are completely at your discretion. 

Are there any lollipop options for children with allergies? TOP

Yes, we will gladly substitute a small bouquet of Yummy Earth organic lollipops that are nut-free, gluten-free, dairy-free, and soy-free.  Just place your order, and then follow up with an email to karen@lollipopbookclub.com to request the Yummy Earth lollipops.

Is there an extra charge for shipping within the US? TOP

Yes, there is an extra shipping charge. We ship via the USPS but we pay the regular first class or priority mail rate due to the inclusion of the gift notes and lollipops. The discounted media rate does not apply.
